CASL Compliance
Last updated: March 17, 2026 (v2)
Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) governs the sending of commercial electronic messages (CEMs) to Canadian recipients. PVRPOSE AI is committed to complying with CASL in all outreach and marketing communications.
1. What Is a Commercial Electronic Message?
A CEM is any electronic message (email, SMS, instant message, or social media message) sent to an electronic address that encourages participation in a commercial activity -- including promoting a product, service, or business opportunity.
2. Consent
We only send commercial electronic messages to individuals who have provided:
- Express consent: You have actively opted in by submitting a form, checking a consent box, or otherwise explicitly agreeing to receive messages from us.
- Implied consent: Where permitted under CASL -- for example, if you have an existing business relationship with us, or your contact details are publicly listed in connection with your business or professional role and no opt-out or no-solicitation notice is included. An inquiry creates implied consent only where the inquiry was directed to PVRPOSE AI and relates to the subject matter of the commercial electronic message. Implied consent has a limited time window under CASL (typically 2 years for existing business relationships, 6 months for qualifying inquiries).
We maintain records of consent. If you are unsure whether you have consented, or would like to verify our records, contact us at juan@pvrpose.ai.
3. Identification
Every commercial electronic message we send will clearly identify:
- The sender: PVRPOSE AI / Coach Juan Gonzalez
- Our contact information: juan@pvrpose.ai
- Our location: Montreal, Quebec, Canada
4. Unsubscribe
Every commercial message we send includes a clear, simple, and functioning unsubscribe mechanism. You can opt out at any time by:
- Clicking the "unsubscribe" link in any email we send
- Replying to any message with "unsubscribe" or "remove"
- Emailing us directly at juan@pvrpose.ai
We will process all unsubscribe requests within 10 business days, as required by CASL. Once you unsubscribe, we will not send you further commercial messages unless you provide new consent.
5. Third-Party Outreach
When we reach out to prospective clients through professional networking platforms (such as LinkedIn) or referral networks (such as The Networking Club), we do so on the basis of implied consent where your contact information is publicly available in connection with your business or professional role and no opt-out or no-solicitation language is present on your profile, as permitted under CASL s.6(6)(b). Our prospecting outreach is individual, personalized, and targeted to specific professionals whose publicly available profiles indicate a potential business fit. We do not send bulk or template-driven outreach to lists. We review each profile before outreach to confirm no opt-out or no-solicitation language is present.
We do not purchase email lists or send unsolicited bulk messages.
6. CASL and Our AI Services
When we build AI executive assistant systems for clients (PVRPOSE AI OS), we configure outreach and communication workflows to align with CASL requirements, including:
- Consent capture and recording for any outbound messaging
- Clear sender identification in all automated messages
- Functional unsubscribe mechanisms in all commercial communications
Clients are responsible for ensuring their own use of the system complies with CASL and all applicable laws. We provide compliance-aware configuration and guidance as part of every build.
7. CASL and Automated Messages via Telegram and Slack
PVRPOSE AI OS can send automated messages through Telegram and Slack as part of client workflows. CASL applies to all commercial electronic messages regardless of the platform used to send them -- including instant messaging platforms such as Telegram and Slack.
Any automated message sent through PVRPOSE AI OS that encourages participation in a commercial activity must comply with CASL's three requirements:
- Consent: The recipient must have provided express or valid implied consent before receiving the message
- Identification: The message must clearly identify the sender (the client business) and include contact information
- Unsubscribe: The message must include a clear and functional mechanism for the recipient to opt out of future messages
PVRPOSE AI configures all outbound automated workflows with these requirements in mind. However, clients are ultimately responsible for ensuring that the contacts they message have provided valid CASL consent, and that their unsubscribe lists are maintained and honoured within 10 business days of any opt-out request.
Automated operational messages sent through PVRPOSE AI OS to the client themselves (e.g., task reminders, status updates, workflow notifications) are not CEMs provided they contain no promotional content. Any automated message that includes service upgrade suggestions, referral requests, or other commercial prompts must comply with CASL's full consent and identification requirements.
